Cannes Yachting Festival 2019

17 September, 2019

The 2019 Cannes Yachting Festival achieved a very successful outcome, despite a disastrous weather with heavy rain on Tuesday for the opening day. The major change this year was of course the layout. For the first year the organisation moved the sailing craft, both monohulls and multihulls, to Port Pierre Canto. This appears to be a very successful idea. In general exhibitors and visitors all agreed that that logistic change was an excellent idea and that it gaves the opportunity to the sector to increase its awareness and its number of exhibitors (120 monohulls and multihulls sailing yachts were displayed at Port Canto).

This new layout was also a great opportunity for the motor boat exhibitors, which had more space to display their beauties. Nearly 50 yachts between 22m-65m comprised the brokerage section, including 10 yachts over 40m.

In terms of numbers, well over 50,000 visitors were recorded even with the bad weather of the opening day. Around 640 boats and yachts between 2.1m-55m displayed by more than 500 exhibitors including 210 shipyards from 33 countries. CYF was an opportunity for the builders to present 122 world premieres with over 219 debuts.

So many positive comments, from customers, press, partners and professionals about Astondoa range during the Cannes Yachting Festival this year. The entire Yachtsidegroup team was extremely proud to be for the 4th year in a row, responsible for all the guided visits and part of the Astondoa booth. Thank you to all the visitors and clients who came to see us on the booth. Big thank also to the Cannes Yachting Festival organization and to our partner Be_In_Yachts and Astondoa Yachts for this special week.
